Happy New Year (sorry, I know it's a bit late but better than never!)! New Year, New Start. I have decided to start a NEW BLOG, hopefully I am going to keep this one up-to-date with news. I have not been able to update The KNIGHTs Shelties Blog very often in the last couple of years due to many reasons. The main reason is Internet connection and Time! Since we moved to the countryside, the Internet connection is absolutely rubbish. The connection just dropped as it wish; I do missed the super fast fibre optic broadband. Living in this beautiful farm, we have far more too many excitement out there all the time, I just don't want to sit in front of the computer and get frustrated. Life is too short :) Hopefully, after two years moving to the Farm, everything is up and running and we have the routine and I can spend some times on the computer and get connected with friends and family again. 2015 marked a brand new beginning of my farming life. We bought in 100 commercial sheep and some Shetland sheep. You can see from the above picture, our dear 5 little Shetland comes in the garden to help me "mow" my lawn. Sonic thinks this is ridiculous! He is my new herding buddy, he did a great job herding the 100 commercial sheep with me. I am really amazed with mai little boy. These 5 Shetland are last year's ewe lamb, they will be my breeding ewe this year. They are lovely bunch of girlies, one of the patchy eye (Yuglet) is especially friendly, I call her Patchy. She is so loving that she and Sonic now good buddies. Sonic is such a funny boy. He loves all the animals and he just wanted to play with them. We have 5 more Shetland that are running with the ram at the moment, if everything goes well, we should be lambing in April. |
You can see Sonic is happier herding a big flock of sheep. He certainly is keeping himself very fit running up and down the hill.
Will update with some Agility and other news soon.
